full licence since june 2006
currently paying £65/mnth bout £750/yr on a 1993 disco 200tdi, 4k limited mileage, with NIG through adrian flux. no mods declared but greenlaning & offroad covered.
just wondered if anyone was in similar circumstances, n got any feedback for a better deal/insurer (if possible)
cheers guys

so you have mods ???

if you do and don't declare them you have no insurance

i thought the value of them just werent covered in event of fire or theft? only snorkel, light bar and winch, any thoughts on how much affect they have on insurance? rang insurance and they wouldnt tell me unless i declared them there n then (told them i was thinking about modding)

Why are some of you older blokes like me paying so much? I'm 46 and I haven't paid over 100 quid fully comp for several years now. Swiftcover, sureterm etc always seem to be the cheapest, for standard landies anyway.

There's not much car crime in our area though is there?

Went to Go Compare got best quite from Swift Ins. Fully Comp 03 Freelander matures driver loadsa no claims - cost £229 pa

WOW!!! I knew mine was cheap but this has just made my day! Ok here goes..

Im 26, living in central Bristol, 3 yrs ncb, no points, driving a modified 300tdi disco, all mods declaired....

£178 fully comp a year, use of any other vehicle, off road damage cover, only downer is 5000 limited milage per year.

Seriously.. Try Lancaster Insurance! :)

Oh tell em if you got use of other vehicles too, and it may help that i've got an advanced driving qualification too
