Spares or Repair.

Well after 9 years service I've decided the latest MOT failure will be her last with me. Very fixable but I don't have the time to fix or the space to break. Has been my daily drive for my entire ownership.

Would make a good offroader project/daily driver with a bit of work to get through MOT. Starts and runs great, pulls very well. EGR removed. Gearbox is good allthough I think one of the locating springs has broke (stick sits over to one side, been like it for a couple years).

209k miles, manual, non aircon, no sunroofs, non ABS, 5 seats. '50th Anniversary model' whatever that means. Red.
Tow bar fitted, been years since i towed anything... apart from the missus' clio. Needs new towing elec socket.
Have reciept for engine change at 100k miles (2002), which is before I bought it. Engine is due a cambelt change. New radiator, alternator and clutch kit with fork in the last year.
Transfer box reconditioned in 2008, about 70k on it. I've done at least 3 oil changes since, gearbox and diff oils at the same time. New steering box fitted at same time.
Chassis in sound condition.
Body has been patched more than once, most notably rear arches and sills.
Paintwork not in great condition, plenty of bubbling and the odd scratch and dent
Bullbar fitted with two spot lights, wired into high beam (via relay)
New rear bumper and light fittings fitted last year (hit in work's car park... by bosses brand new rangey heh)
Complete front swivel rebuild done last year, new swivel balls, swivel bearings, swivel pins, seals, hub bearings, CVs, discs, pads and calipers (new calipers and pads on back as well). Changed brake fluid at the same time and fitted a couple new pipes. Had a new master cyclinder a couple of years ago.
New exhaust in last year, including decat defender down pipe and straight center pipe (bought the cheap one not realsing it didnt have silencers... sounds good!)
Needs the lock springs doing on all doors. Rear driver side window not working.
4 good cooper tyres on deep dish style alloys, spare is as new (also on alloy)

Complete MOT list, failed end of last month been off the road for a week;

Basically door springs, front wings, sills and a ball joint to get it through. Open to offers circa £600 due to amount of work done recently (clutch, front swivel rebuild and calipers etc). Sold as spares or repair, it's an 18year old car so no warrenty given. SORN so will need a trailer/transporter. Still drives great so can get on trailer under its own power. If interested let me know I'll get some pics up. Think its got a fair bit of diesel in it as well.

cheers
