ok..tis time to rust proof ruby..

sally i spray engine oil all under and in chassis, sills etc..but its rather messy on the driveway for a week or so..but it works wonders!!ie no rust at all anywhere fullstop!so much better than wax treatment..(1971 rrc)

now ruby (1971 rrc also)(as sally) has had 20l of wax on her (no rude comments please, allready gone there..lol)..but i now need to add the oil as one can see the wax treatment already starting to crack/fail..(i once just used wax treatment only on one rrc..it rusted in half!!the water gets under the wax and rots away unseen..SO)

i would like to find away to thicken the oil so that it goes sticky/gooey and dont drip off as much..CHAIN LUBE would be perfect, but at £10 a can just tooooooooooo expensive since i recoat every engine oil change..(thats every 1000miles!)

any ideas what to use to add to the oil to make it "non drip"? or where to buy cheap motocycle chain lube by the gallon?

by the way i spray it on using a shultz gun, takes 5mins..and is a good way to reuse the old engine oil..well i say used , its 1000miles old so quite clean, ie still oil coloured

thanks.

I think you can mix oil and Waxoil so it sticks better and is less likely to crack ...
but an adult will be along shortly to give proper advice ... :D

I have also found it is good for brake pipe corrosion protection.
