Some odd issues with an 02 TD5 Defender

Haha missed that bit out...

Got tired of waiting and trykng and failing doing it mhself + i wanted it running in case of sudden and violent snowfall..

Turns out the body and battery where not earthed properly and the handbreak, drivers seat where all live with 6v.

3 new earths fitted inc one spare just incase.

Oddly after all this time ive had the car, the fog light switch now works but doesnt do anything and I get a light on thr dash when the handbrakes on!

Now to have a drive tomorrow check the turbo hasnt actually blown....

listen bud,you did the best you could so fair play to you.finding electrical faults can be a nightmare.you checked the bulb in the fog light and the earth in that??.you should get a light on in the dash when your h/brake is applied.

After i did hollinsclough steps in mine the otherday my blurry hand brake light dunt go off!

yep!

summit else to have a look at. fink its just the old switchy ma jigga on the old and brake so should be fine after a clean.

very strange to be honest gems. Some days im restless and others i cant get off the sofa. :lol: Im used to working all day so im restless but i need/want to chill a little so i try and relax.

Yup I did try though at least I know what to look for, to a degree next time.

Should hopefully be solid now! Still a **** load to do!

it's bound to take time for you to adjust to doing different things,ie feck all.if you ever want to have a run up the M6 anytime just let me know and you can come for a brew and biscuits anytime matey.M6 - A580 - A577,that where i am.

well you have something less to do know,as long as it is running then the other jobs dont seem as bad i find.

If ya feel a desperate need to relax with a paintbrush in yer hand or spend a few days chillin with a sander anytime in the next week or so......gis a shout

my td5 does this ocassionally,
in the brake fluid reservior, under the lid are 2 contacts that warn of low fluid level, they get crapped up,
give them a clean with an abrasive pad and see if it makes any difference
