some help please.

hi all
last saturday i bought my first landy a disco 1
it used to be a v8 but at some point the v8 was replaced with a 300tdi with a R380 gear box and a borg warner transfer box.
so this is my first problem the viscous coupling on the bw transfer box is seized.
i plan on replacing it with a LT230T sometime in the near future as soon as i can scrape together the cash for the box and other parts i will need.
until then i was thinking of removing one of the propshafts so as not to cause any more damage to the drive train but i'm not too sure what one i should remove front or back.
any help you guys can give would be great.

front ,but borg warner is a better box why not undo front out put housing and replace coupling

have been looking into doing that but for the cost of the coupling alone i should be able to get the LT230 complete.
i have looked on a few websites and the coupling costs anywhere from 300 to 800.

ashcrofts did them for £250 ,plus you would need new front prop etc

ashcrofts were the cheapest i found too.

295 but not sure if thats with or without vat and they are out of stock.
have sent them an e-mail to find out when they will have them back in but with the easter weekend i dont think i'll hear from until next week sometime.
