I guess there is a reason you should only do beach runs when the tide is going out ;)

Very much so.

Our offroad club has been called out to rescue more than a few 4x4s at pegwell bay in kent. I'll share our experience with you, should you come across someone in distress.

We found that....

If a truck is up to it's axels and the belly is 'sucked' to the sand you aint got much chance of getting it out without a tractor or something big (or three trucks). As the tide comes in the water lifts/disturbs the distressed truck slightly and releases the suction....this is the time to pull it out.

Very good pictures you got of it!

Was there 6 months ago - it is really an empty place, not like you can count on finding anyone to tow you out. And as soon as water saturates the sand, it does become a lot more difficult to get it out.

Good reminder to always watch the tide...
