Solar Panels Roof Wiring Question

Gonna be getting some panels for the roof soon.

I'm in a quandry on how to get the wiring plumbed into the lannie from the roof though...

I could drill a hole in the side or use the existing hole that the beacon light was mounted on, except that's too small for the wiring I'm sure.

Any ideas?
 
Thanks, that's food for thought, but the wiring would end up in the engine compartment would it not?

I really need it down in the rear area...

I've already got one of these going into the roof BUT I don't know whether the wire will be narrow enough to go through it.
I'm gonna buy the panels and give 'em a whirl regardless :)

Sorry if this is a silly question but why are you fitting solar panels?
