my Landy is kind of getting aged. No shelter during the last year and sun is taking its toll:
- plastics (rear view mirrors esp) turn grey
- so does the soft and hard top

I’m looking for recommendations on how to take care of them the best way. Spilling some silicon oil is just a short term fix. The grey comes back after a few weeks.

Any recommendations?

The interior mirror is ABS plastic, so can be refinished easy enough. ABS responds well to surface heating which redistributes pigments in the plastic. A quick blast from an electric paint stripper, moved over the surface will melt the top layer of plastic. This will then be darker in colour than the bleached grey that forms on the surface. You can also paint the mirror shell in a plastic compatible matt black paint, which won't bleach again in the future. The external plastic can also be painted, but would need to be done properly to make it look good.
