In 96 I was lucky enough to get a lift from Norderstedt into central Hamburg in a harlequin Trabant - done cheaply by wrapping in off cuts of vinyl.

It wasn't this one but looked pretty much the same.

They're wonderful little cars and best of all, they can be repaired by anyone anywhere in the world, no fancy electronic **** to go wrong, just good old fashioned KISS engineering.

Those guys have some serious skills! If it was a Defender the lights would have shorted in the water test..

They put rover to shame, at least they make the effort to make the panels line up and check for water leaks

i was doing all that piece of wood door bending etc n my 90 yesterday.

its their version of a plastic pig but 4 wheels, just a piddley engine and fibreglass, lol
