To start trusting your L322 again?

After my recent troubles, I'm currently into day four of trouble free motoring and that feeling of dread is starting to wear off but does it truly go away!!!

I had a chance of a 50 mile round trip on Monday night and I wimped out and took my wife's car as I dare not risk it. Stupid I know as technically my car is the Bionic Man of cars as it's had a fortune spent on it and it's been rebuilt (well it feels like it).

I'm at the stage of actually turning up the music a little knowing that there won't be any weird sounds etc and I can't get used to the fact that there are no warning lights on the dash and the box that usually says inactive air susp is in the dark unless I go into manual!

So does this seem familiar to you chaps or am I an L322 newbie being a tad daft?

Drop it of at mine... I'll get to trust it and then just tell you it's fine!

Actually rangerovers are probably the best to start to trust again as even when they have been a royal pain in the arse they still make you smile on the first run out again! Just get using it and make sure your bank card is easy to get at for the frequent fuel stops!

It's funny that as it does pull to the left as I pass a petrol station :D[/QUOTE]

If its Shell on Caton road or more recently Morecambe Sainsburys then that "pull" from the road is the rut I've left in the road from endlessly turning into the petrol station! The joys of running two V8's! ;)

Nope. I don't feel any real trust.

I did 100mile run the other day without laptop in car and felt i was living on the edge!

contemplating a 1300mile round trip to germany in the summer towing and my to do list is getting longer and longer..

Lend it to a good mate for a week, let him razz round in it, whilst you deal with your PTSD, he'll say alls sweet, Eden Project was well worth the visit:)

I will trust mine to get me to Mongolia and back(i have done it twice already) BUT then I own a P38.

Ah you're to blame for that rut in Caton Road are you? It pulls me in everytime I'm on my motorbike and makes me go to the chippy for doner meat and chips!
