Now thats a bit harsh my friend, Besides if there were no more criminals then i would be looking for a new job and i like my job :D

One thing about the prison situation confuses me. They authorities say that the prisons are full, but they also say that there is an unknown amount of prisoners who have asconded. If they don't know how many have had it away, how do they know how empty of full the prison is?

Perhaps they just put "reserved" on the bed.

my 1st year of land driving, seen no snow yrt but if we do whats the procedure for driving. How different from say my wife's ford focus,is it the same as foe deep mud or con i really go for it.

Make sure you have enough kit with you if you end up stuck.
i.e. standard metal shovel, ropes, shackels. hand winch if you can.
For some strange reason, just because you roll up to someone who has got stuck, they naturally think "Ah - Landrover = Rescue" - so help if you can.
Also, be prepared for a cold night i.e. torch, warm fluffy blanket/ sleeping bag, first aid kit - you may be the first on a scene of an accident in this weather.
Gaitors - for your boots - can't recommend them enough in snow.
Try snow near where you live and you recognise / remember features. Watch out for ditches that just get filled in and levelled, or rocks pretending to be snowballs. If in doubt - get out....and have a poke about.
Have fun.

You missed one of the most important ones Rowan... just because it will 'go' in the snow, doesn't mean it's all that much different to the Focus when it comes to stopping... 4WD yes, extra brakes? Err... no!

Best not to 'really go for it' on the roads, fill yer boots on empty fields/car parks etc.

Cheers,
