Does anyone use 'em anymore?

I found a boxed pair in me loft yesterday that I bought about 12 years ago but never got around to use them. Nobody mentions them these days.

If they fit your tyres then keep them You get snowed in could make the difference of getting to town for bread, milk or a medical emergency for you or a neighbor. The only thing for ice and icey snow on the roads, and for hilly roads. I know I bringing a set of 4 with me on the move

Practice putting them on before you need them as you wont get ****ed off as easily, when you do need them

Handy to have - just in case, but more & more folk are using those fabric "sock" things now. My neighbour tried to buy a pair of chains for his BMW estate ;last year once the snow had arrived and was quoted a massive price and a 2 month delivery!

had snow chains in the boot when we were tourin the south island of NZ...never felt the need to put em on though, even in a fwd slitty saloon :D

The best and in many regions that require snow chains the only legal way is mounting them on all wheels. For those who can't afford this Land Rover says to put them on the back axle.

they are brilliant, i bought a set last september 2010, all through the heavy snow i got about alright, auto omega, def try putting them on in good weather, when you actually need the things rest asured that it will be **** weather, and what is simple in nice weather can become hard with froze fingers. i found a wee jack to lift the car a bit to leave more room around the wheel arch, maybe not much of a problem for landys.... and a big fook off waterproof sheet for the ground too, but they are the business when the road is snowy, id have been walking without them...
