Thanks Grippa, Think I'll make my Lightbar on the same Princaple as yours.. Sorry if you have said, But those brackets which are attatched to the gutter, Are they welded to the Gutter or bolted?.

Ill also check I have them holes on my spring hangars for the Steering guard im soon to buy!.

Bugger!.. The Previous owner who did all the work on my 2a plated up the whole front Dumbirons with 5mm thick steel!. Basically all the front 1/4 has been neatly done with 5mm steel!. Good becuase its strong, But now I am stuck as there are no positioning holes.. Looks like I might have the get the 18v Makita out and a few sharp drill bits!

The flange just has two bolts through the gutter. One bolt thru the square section bar concealed inside it.

Should only need the upper holes drilling, the lower ones are the ones which secure the front of your springs.

Oh right, Yeah I see, so the lower bolts just the Nut on the bolt which holds the front of the Springs in its place?.

Aye, thas why yer cun't fit jate rings an orl.

Ah right, No worries then, Ill just fit it to my Bolts and mark the other holes out and take off the guard and drill em'

How do the Jate rings fit then?. i've heard and seen them and know they went to your suspension bolts but never seen how they are mounted?.

Think Ill get working on getting a light bar made straight away then! and I see regtanular driving lights for £9 at shows, Ebay so I'll get some of them!

Basically that bolt (or usually a longer one) just goes thru the jate ring as well.

Nah, they were MG Metro. Dead comfy they were. Best seats I've fitted into a landy were Rangey ones tho'. Easy cuz the front mounting holes line up with the existing one's. They sit quite high mind, so you can't keep the original big 'bus twirler' of a steering wheel.
