snorkel

I recently purchased an ex mil 1985 model 110. the vehicle has a 200tdi engine installed and a snorkel fitted to passenger side which is not attached to the air filter.
I have purchased the 200tdi attachments and have a hole in the side of the wing however the blower fan is sitting part over the cut out so I cannot attach the internal ducting. any suggestions how to proceed?

Son has a flexible pipe running under the heater box I do believe.

could you let me know how this attaches to the internal side of the wing?

If I remember correctly the snorkel pipe goes through the wing and the flexi pipe is held onto this with a jubilee clip.
Will try and have a look tomorrow.
