Disco 2 Discovery 2 TD5 Air intake hose

Hello everyone,

I have recently purchased a snorkel kit for the Disco2, The installation of which will take place when I return home in the next few days. I am at a loss tho to find the part number or an upgrade for the mesh intake hose that comes from the factory duct in the engine bay from the wing to the air filter housing. (see attached picture).

Anyone able to assist as I dont really want to install the new snorkel, K&N filter and what not and then reinstall the old perished mesh hose.

From this it looks like it's only available as a complete lower section assembly.

Il measure it up and see if something like this is suitable

That intake is availabe separately but not in UK/Europe, google out "Air Intake Tube Hose kit by CARRS4X4 for Land Rover Discovery 2" which you have to import, however, it's about a piece of fexible hose with the proper ID and two clamps, see this https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Cars/TD5-Intake-hose-102172368137288/

Thats the idea, Not being a facebook or social media person, I cant get in touch with them, This is however what is required, Il measure up the one on my 2004 when im home from Norway and get some silicone pipe ordered up

Just coat it in Sikaflex and it will be fine

Here’s the CARRS4x4 one, which Fery spoke of, I installed on my V8. Well worth the money.
