Snorkel on 300tdi Tithonus

Has anyone managed to route the turbo air inlet hose around the back of the engine (like factory 300tdi) on a 300tdi conversion? Mine is mated to the lt77 and sits lower and further back than factory, to me there appears lots of space between bulkhead and engine, maybe not enough for the factory inlet pre bent pipe but maybe for 2.5 or 3" silicone/alloy tubing. Would anyone know the O/D of the 300 turbo inlet? I want to mount the air filter on the air con pump mounts and then off to a drivers side snorkel so need to get the ducting from one side to the other as neatly as possible. Photo shows the view down the back of the head and proposed location of the filter, it will have the inlet horizontal once mounted.

I think the turbo inlet is 2.5” but if I remember I will measure tomorrow.
