Hi All
Need some help!!!! The bracket which attaches my Landrover Original snorkel to the windscreen on my 2010 110 XS Utility is hopelessly corroded. I've been onto LR and they quoted about £500 as it is apparently only sold with the whole snorkel!!!! Does anyone know where I can get one as surely they must be available somewhere.
Thanks in advance

It's in the bodyshop at the moment having work done on the paint warranty so no unfortunately. I wanted it done while they've got it off but the price is ridiculous!!!!!

Is it like this or the formed plastic type?

Send me the old one and I can get it made for you. My best mate is a blacksmith, his sion owns a large fabricating company. It'll be a piece of **** mate.

I bought mine looking like this:

Then bought a bit of 1/8" 90 degree aluminium angle from eBay and battered it with a hammer as it didn't sit well. Drilled a few holes, primed it, painted it black and ended up with this:

Could you not remove the bracket, rub it down and repaint it?

+1

unless its corroded right the way through, rub down / shot blast etc and paint... dont replace something just because its corroded. Very wasteful and bad for the enviroment.

Thanks for all your advice / offers - much appreciated and shows what a bloody nice lot Landy owners are but I've had a result!!! The Landy was still in its 6 year anti corrosion warranty so while the local dealer where rectifying the corrosion (free of charge) they've had to replace the whole snorkel (inc bracket) as well as they had to take it off and break the seal to repaint.
The ridiculous thing is, is that it only needed a new seal but they only sell this snorkel with the full kit for £500 which they've had to cover under the warranty! So: new snorkel, seal and bracket courtesy of LR.
Happy Days.
