So today on the way home from work just after going through some traffic lights, my foot goes to the floor, after some swearing managed to Coast onto the grass verge had a look for 10mins and decided to limp home as I was a mile or so away, got to a feild I cut across, so lifted the bonnet and crouched on the bumper to speed the engine up abit (only 2nd gear low range) so not too dangerous, and getting off to adjust the steering wheel.

So now she's home, I attempted to weld the cable back together, but after turning it on and been sticky, thought it's not safe!!!

Going to landranger services in longton and pray that they have one in (it's a 2.25 diesel if anyone works there and is on here, I'll be there 8.30am sharp to ask!:)
If they don't have one anyone know of a place that will do next day delivery on such an item?

Thanks Ben Waine

Yup! Got bored of waiting!!!! (Also im 18 and some may argue not sensible!) Shes fixed now and a rear axle oil change:)
Also with the new cable the pedal is almost unsettlingly light! But ill get used to it !
