Snapped Swivel Bolt

Drill it out and put a nut and bolt through it:cool:

Buy a good drill bit (DeWalt) and drill it slowly with plenty of cutting oil
 
just drill a hole and nut and bolt it. doesn't really matter if it's slightly off centre. will still do a job.

well Its right through with a 3.5, half through with a 5mm but only 1/4 through with a 6mm as I could start to see the outer threads on the axle case.

If I can make a fresh start and drill straight through with a 7 or 8mm I could tap the old **** out and re-tap the thread.

I dont want to rely on the bolt method as it is tight around the rear of the axle case, not sure an M8 bolt would go on very easily.

I have an old swivel here but tis miles away will see if the niece needs lift home from uni bath this weekend if she does ill happily throw it in and deliver at the weekend
