Just had a nasty surprise. Wife went out in the Disco (1998-ES-Manual) and had the sense to stop after a couple of hundred yards when steering "went all funny". The clunking from underneath at the back led me to look down there and there was the radius arm - snapped ! Broken clean through at the chassis end just outside the bush.
Anyone had this happen before ? We've not used it offroad and I can't recall hitting any serious potholes recently. Maybe it just fatigued through. I've ordered the parts to replace it and re-bush both sides (thank you Richard at Beamends, again !). Is it a tough job? The manual doesn't even hint at any problems. I know all the bolts will be rusted on but I'll deal with that - it's just normal.
