I'm about done with this car now fixed the windows, fixed the stereo , fixed the coolant leak and now I've got one more issue that I can't fix , white smoke , I've just spent the last 30 mins cleaning the egr and inlet manifold .
Had no smoke on idle so I took it for a little drive amd it's now smoking like a steam train .
Changed the crank case breather filter and problem still persists.
Any clues anyone ?

Hi,

White smoke can be a bad injector or a dying fuel pump, it's certainly smells diesel.
You will certainly need to do a leak back test on the injectors, and check the fuel pump for any leak.

Regards.

Might be worth taking the intercooler pipes off & see if there's oil in them again, if there is I'd remove the intercooler itself & flush with petrol, making sure it's well aired before refitting, to see if that makes a difference. I spent about 3 hrs cleaning my inlet manifold out with oven cleaner/jizer ! Filthy job. Also look for oil in the turbo to air cleaner hose & any in the metal pipe that runs around the back of the engine, best of luck.
