Smoke on start up?

    Hi all, i was just wondering that if when i start my 200tdi defender up, whether it should give out black/grey smoke? And also when i rev it, it smokes also but not as bad as when it first starts. When i rev it its grey smoke?

    mine puffs out black on start up then completly clean after that i think its normal for a puff on start up (well i hope so) :p

    Mine also give out smoke a bit when i rev it?

    try that youve probs read it, theres loads of threads on here about it, but i do agree not very specific

    basically i wouldnt worry mate as long as she isnt down on power using water etc just keep an eye on it i thinks its a pretty normal thing :D
