Freelander 1 Smell

Hellp all, I hope all are well.
I have a question or a problem, i hope you guys can bring some light or a soluition to it.....
I love my FL it runs lovely oil changes every 6.000 miles , no smoke (at night on hard accel i saw some light cloud...but i guess its normal).
The thing is when he is on idle its smells a lot of burned diesel.....
what could it be?
Anything i can do to sort it ?

Leaky exhaust near the turbo or by the manifold section. Hole in the downpipe near the bottom.

hello ...well i have done the rag test and believe me it blows a punch after reliese....i dont thinnk its a leak...

Have you got a fuel burning heater that is on all the time due to a failed stat??

No i dont, infact i took the fuse out of the FBH.
The smell comes out of the exausht pipe ...
Even when we have the first start my car never smokes but the smell of burned fuel is strong maybe has heats up decreases but still very strong smell
