Hi guys

I have a problem with the SLS on my discovery 2,
The cars been layed up for about 4 months as I've been working away the suspension had gone down before I left so I just left it as that.
I'm back now and started sorting out all the problems I have with the car but got to the SLS and I have the SLS warning light on the dash all fuses and relays are good I removed the pump new piston ring and seals bench tested it iand all works put it back on and nothing warning lights still on and the pump isn't pumping?
I am in Switzerland and it's been between -1 and -10 here for the last 2 weeks so is it possable somthing like the ride hight sensors are frozen or any other Idears

Thanks

GAry

Hi, i presume the engine was running wasnt it?, cos the compressor will work only with engine running and all the doors well closed ... make sure it didnt get water into the sensor's plugs and frozen there, disconnect the battery unplug the sensors, give contact spray in the plugs, plug them back firmly, reconnect battery, jack up the rear from the towbar untill half of normal height then start the engine... problem at the sensor's can be mostly at the electric connections cos they work on Hall effect with a inner magnet attached to the shaft unless the sensor has a hystorical internal fault or it's snapped and that's why it dropped in the first time... when you said ''all the fuses are good'' did you mean fusible links too? cos the compressor is fed by fusible link FL9

if everything is OK visually with the sensors unplug both air supply valves and the compressor and improvise a wiring(as attached) with small female connectors as to connect both valves and the compressor at the same time to a battery untill it reaches aprox normal height(cut the feed when it's up) then let everything unplugged and if there are no leaks it will stay on level many days untill you can plug in a tester to read the fault code
