Hi folks,

I'm new to Landyzone so I'm sure this topic has been covered before. I did a quick search but couldn't find an answer so here goes.

I replaced the air springs with new ones last year and the system has been fine until now. Three times now the back has dropped evenly on both sides down to the stops. Yesterday it did it as I was driving off from a standstill with suspension at full height and in a matter of 30 seconds the back was down and the SLS light came on. When I had a leaky airbag the SLS lamp never came on so something is different this time. The system recovers after the ignition is turned off and back on again. This has happened three times now. (...and I don't want to convert to coil springs thanks). The increase height function works up and down without any problems.

Does anyone know where I can find out what faults cause the SLS lamp to come on? I don't want to replace the compressor unit until I'm sure there isn't something more basic causing the problem.

Without hooking it up to testbook you really are wasting your time, from your description it could even be a faulty ecu - not unknown on DII's.

Thanks eightinavee, I'm coming to that conclusion, just wanted to be sure I wasn't overlooking anything simple or obvious I could do myself. The way the vehicle's behaving at the moment I'm not sure I want to drive it the 30miles to my nearest trusted garage with a testbook until I'm sure I have no choice.

:)Problem found and fixed!

A corroded connector at the passenger side (UK) height sensor. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn't. Replaced the sensor and connector and all seems to be well. Local non-franchised Landy centre found it with the innevitable computer tester.
