Hello from Costa Rica
Its a Discovery 2, 2000, TD 5, auto, ACE, and sadly at the moment-SLS! It wont lift. It has new sensors, new airbags, new compressor unit. I have a nanocom scanner. It shows no error though dash light is on. It also shows 5 V to right sensor and .02 V to left. When I disconnect sensor nanocom reading changes to the correct 5 V. When I swap right sensor to left side all the same reading occur. Can anyone help!

check in configuration to not be set on transit/''transport'' mode... make sure all the doors are well closed cos sls doesn't work otherwise... check FL9 and relay in engine bay

Yep did those. Any other relays or switches? Do ECUs die often? The
Problem is intermittent or rather was

In what area of nanocom? In the calibrate sls area I can hear compressor turn on briefly but don't feel any lift/movement.

as in the quoted part... but if the SLS warning is on, it's certain that is not in tranzit mode amd no fault codes stored then IMO the ECU is fubar'd... to make sure try to find somebody with hawkeye cos nanocom is not 100% reliable with SLABS...are the ABS and related warnings(TC, HDC) working on self test?

SLS HEIGHT CALIBRATION
· Raise left: This function causes the SLABS ECU to energize the rear left corner valve
and the inlet valve. If there is pressure in the system the rear left hand corner will
raise.
· Lower left: This function causes the SLABS ECU to energize the rear left corner
valve and the exhaust valve. This will cause the rear left hand corner to lower.
· Raise right: This function causes the SLABS ECU to energize the rear right corner
valve and the inlet valve. If there is pressure in the system the rear right hand
corner will raise.
· Lower right: This function causes the SLABS ECU to energize the rear right corner
valve and the exhaust valve. This will cause the rear right hand corner to lower.
· Store heights: This function sends a command to the SLABS ECU to store the
actual heights.

You thinks ECU bad? What is IMO?
What is cheaper ECU or springs?
I really hate to quit sls at this stage.
Do ecus work sometimes and not others?

The other lights seem to work properly with test
Procedures. I did previously have all 3 lights on, then replaced abs modulator and all went away. They all come on when nanocom accesses the slabs ECU, but go out when disconnect- except the sls light which is now always on

Ok something is happening.
I went into Settings and changed ECU setting from 'calibrated' to No.
Then in next section it has current heights and 'set target heights'. The current heights are out of whack and won't update. I set target height to 75 ( I need to know correct #) and the car lifted off the jack which was holding car level. Now maybe if I have correct target height it will go there and I will live happily ever after?

those figures are just a reference, there is no standard 'target' height'... you must be able to inflate the bags with nanocom command then when it's on level stop, write any figure there(let's say 150) and store that...the tester will store the impulse from the sensor at that height associating that number to it...if you see what i mean

I see.
Well all that raising and lowering didn't accomplish anything. The left sensor reading does not change with the raising etc. and the nanocom only raise and lower the left side. I could not get it to do anything on the right side where the sensor seems to work. At the moment both sides are substantially different heights. Left sensor is still reading .02 V. Would you try and reverse outputs to sensors at the ECU?

forget about the sensor readings now as they are bypassed with the nanocon raising action...try to swap the plugs on the inlet valves in the compressor housing, this will show if the right side valve gets or not the input from ECU as if it does the right side will rise when you give command to the left side which you say it worked... also if the right side will rise on left side command it means the valve is good... if the left side doesnt work with swapped plugs on right side rise command it means there's a problem with the output from ECU to compressor housing... check at the ECU plug as water ingress/corrosuion is common there be aware the valve plugs might have retaining clips at the bottom

do that and report back what happens and we'll spoeak then

Ok did it. Swapped plugs at compressor. Put in 150 for target heights. This time the right side raised. No movement on left side. Tried to isolate left side by only putting in target height for that side-it wouldnt accept-'invalid target values'. No apparent relationship between target values and sensor values cause when it is pumping up the one side it will pass the target value and keep pumping. There is no way to stop it. It continues to pump until cycle is finished and then states 'error-una le to Tracy tarjeta value. I then went to utility sls calibration and leveled the car using nano commands. Everything worked just reversed since I changed plugs. When all set nicely told nano to enter values in ECU. It asks to turn off ignition and wait 1 minute. After that I close out of nano and can here exhaust valve open and let all air out. Back to sag. I really appreciate you trying to figure this out.

Sorry keyboard switched to Spanish-'unable to reach target value' was the nano message

connect back the plugs as they were..now we know that the wiring and valves are Ok, nanocom used to have some issues with SLABS ECU, not completely stabile so you better insist maybe it didnt store the heights in ECU's memory... inflate the bags again using nanocom command, when it's on level type 150 in both sides as value and store this way...then the ECU must store the input from the sensors associated with those figures... if it will fall again after that, replace that sensor which doesnt give the correct output as it seems that's your problem tyhen calibrate again

Ok will try.
There isn't a right and left sensor is there? I bought these sensors here in CR so it is quite possible one doesn't work.

the sensor is the same for both sides, you can even swap them over and if the fault moves to the other side you k now it's the sensor and if the fault stays where it was it's a management or wiring issue
