Just wondered if Skipper Kevin or ASL Timmy from Sliema scount group Malta are members on here. I am a member of the Oxfordshire world scout jamboree and I have just come back from camping with them in north east Malta. They are a thoroughly decent couple of blokes and they both drive 90's; Timmy's 90 is green and Kevin's is Red with blue hard-top sides. i believe that they are members of AWDC-Malta.

If they are'nt on here and someone on here knows them, then say hi! and thanks to them for being so hospitable

whilst in Malta i saw lots of different landrovers, series 1, 3, 90, 110, RR classic, disco 1 and 2. definately an added bonus to the trip!

Hi, I have just read your post. I am also a leader with the Sliema Scout Group, however, I have been inactive for the last few months and I was not able to attend the Camp. I did however come up one afternoon for a few hours.

I am posting here to add a little note to your post. You mentioned correctly that both ASL Timmy and Skipper Kevin drive Land Rovers. However, there are more leaders and more land rovers too!!!

I'm going to attach a pic below so that you can see our Land Rover Fleet!!! :-D Each one of these LR's is owned by a Troop leader, and we ahve more to come as a couple of junior leaders just got their license and are looking for a and ROver to buy!

The AWDC is the only offroad club in Malta, however we do not get much support from the state, so our events must all be kept at a low profile!

Nope. Mine is the other green 90 near ASL Timmy's. The Blue series 3 is of ASL Mark, the quartermaster. And the other series 3 with the 90 front (the other red one) is no longer part of the fleet. Now the guy has a Blue 90 tdi200.

ahh. I liked the code breaking activity on camp....one of the sentences in it was 'landrovers are the best' hehe :D brilliant!!! i got it straight away one they got the first letter! ;)

hehe... excellent. I'm glad you enjoyed camping with us. If you remember, there was a new face when you were discussing under the dining shelter on Wednesday. It was the discussion just after the mug making challenge. That was me :-D
