I have had these Halfrauds ramps for a few years, they are strong and have a good height.

Only thing is.................. in the wet the tyres are struggling to get grip on the plastic coated struts.

Is there any stuff available in most DIY stores that you can just slap on for extra grip.????

I have seen grip/high friction paint, but its a wild price and I'd only be using 100ml

grip tape.

It's like sticky back sand paper. DIY shops or skateboard shops should do it. You can normally get it on fleabay too.

Cheers guys!

The Freelander is in 2wd mode at the moment, plus its on an slight incline as well. Thats 120bhp going to the front wheels :D

It's also used for other 2wd cars ;)

I've got the same ones... take a load of the paint off and let 'em go a little rusty... worked for mine :D

mix some sand into some paint and slap that on

I had thought about that only using a glue mixed with horticultural grit, better still pebble dash the fecking ramps lol.

Only I get visions of the tyres flicking off the grit and stones at high velocities, the paintwork will be fine cause I got sill protectors, gawd help any passers by and neighbours windows :D

melt some of that flat roofing felt onto the ramps, you know, the stuff with tar on one side and gritty on the other...
