Silicone Turbo Hose replacemaent

I am replacing my turbo/intercooler hoses and cleaning the intercooler this weekend.

Is there anything I neen to know concerning the hose replacement?
Should I grease the end of the hoses?
Double clamps?
Anything special?

OK,

The longer hose that goes from the top of the intercooler.
The original has a smaller hose coming off of it.
The new silicone hose does not?
I think it runs to the ECG thingy.
Did I get the wrong silicone hose?

Not seen a top hose with a seperate pipe off it?? but could go to EGR I suppose. In which case ya better off without it anyway.

Yes. 300 Tdi has egr and the top hose has a small pipe coming off it to the egr. I'd buy (done it on mine) a blanking kit and remove the egr completely at the same time.

Shows Top pipe with small one coming off it to the EGR valve ...
