Brian has taken them now, he came round yesterday, I did see someone on here make a pair out of stainless and he used the old rubber covers, they did look good, the rubbers on mine are 100% that's why I just didn't want to throw them away, you just cant seem to get the originals any moreThey look like they have plenty of life left. Cheaper to change if you don't have a welder, easy to reinforce if you do

I'd go along with that but having grounded out a few times (and got away with it) I do wonder if some tree/rock sliders might be an idea.
