Side steps

I am looking at getting some parts from a Freelander in a breakers and it has side steps, how easy is it to fit these and how?

providig yu can get and fit Rivnuts - no problem.

Are holes already there?

Yeah holes are there already just need a riv nut kit. I've got instructions if you want me to post them on here mate.

Agh, so thats how they go on! Tried to bolt my rock sliders up with no joy......So i just welded them on!

Ok got the side steps but they didnt come with new rivnuts like they were suppose to, took them to a garage to get them welded on but he said he was worried about welding to front bracket the nearest to the outside of the car cause he thought there maybe wires inside and didnt want to start until i find out.

Can someone help please?

dont weld them

just pick up some proper fixings from somewhere !!!
even ebay sells them.

otherwise u will never get them off

I bought my side steps off eBay and also bought a separate riv nut set off eBay to.

Thanks, just ****ed off the steps didnt come with new ones as was told. Always the same when you live on an island companys take the ****.

I'm still after a replacement bracket for my steps. Anyone come across somewhere selling them? Or anyone got one in ok condition for sale?
