Despite a search on the internet, we cannot locate a supplier for brackets to fix side steps to a P38 2001 Range Rover.

Would appreciate any help, thanks.

Hi Missymoo/Hello everyone I would like some help with this one too as I have some side steps but unfortunately no brackets  If anyone could help I would very much appreciate it even if it means making some myself :)

Many thanks

Matt

Hi Matt, my husband was going to make some (and believe me, there's not much that beats him) but felt the angle of the brackets were too tricky.

Today he ordered some from our local Land Rover dealership, I believe they were about £58 ish. He was not amused and is, at this moment, having a little lie down!

Hi

Thanks for your reply, I must admit some time ago I contacted the dealership and they said they couldn't sell me any seperately only the complete side steps. After your husband has had a lie down and when you get them could you let me know the part no so I can contact the dealership again and see if they can sell me them

Many thanks
Matt

i bought my side steps for my p38 from a main dealer via ebay , they were sellimg off old stock , it was a complete kit with everything needed but at , a very reduced price .
along with the brackets you will also need the nutserts which go into the chassis rails and allow you to bolt the brackets to the chassis .
if the fitting kit is available i think you will be lucky .
whilst its not rocket science to fabricate the brackets it will be awkward , from memory i think that besides being handed they are also different front and rear.
maybe a breakers yard could help and the nutserts which are either 8 or 10 m/m are readilly available at most motor factors , and by using a bit of ingenuity you can install them into the chassis without the special tool ( i just used a long bolt with a nut and washer , it worked a treat ).
i hope this helps.
rick.

Many thanks for your help everyone, it is much appreciated. I will try and get hold of some, either from a supplier or a breakers. I am desperate to get these side steps on :D

My husband picked up the brackets today, total cost £55.45.

Part No: LSTC50135 although on box it states STC50135, possibly the L is the dealership code.

Please be aware they have not yet been fitted, so until then we cannot be sure they are ok (sighhhhh).
