Fed up with people slamming car doors into mine.
So was thinking of getting some 50mm tube bending to suit and welding to chassis.
Has anyone ever done this, is there enough clearance between body and chassis to let you do it

Nope haven't done that, I just had side steps fitted and going by the marks on the rubber edge that are similar to those from car doors that I could have received on my doors they work for me.

I've got tubular bars on my defender as rock sliders. The amount of pain the collect they are doing a great job of protecting mine and ruining theirs!

Ok the conclusion we can bend the tube and weld it straight onto chassis.
But it wont stop the car door problem so its not happening
