Side exit exhausts?

With a vehicle that has a side exit exhaust how are these repaired or placed?

Is this after market kit that can be brought or is it 'self' made?

Novice question!

most are self made, cut the back box out and weld new pipe to the side..
I couldnt be bothered with cuting the hole on the side panel, so mine altough is straight through, comes out on the side but below the panel

i personally self made mine, paddocks sell a 'sports exhaust' which is a rear section and a pipe instead of a middle silencer, 35 quid not bad. i used a decat pipe too, 20 quid.
i chopped off the rear silencer before the final bend, and used a 45 degree angle section of pipe cut from the old rear section. that slotted straight inside the bigger diameter new exhasut, and gave the correct angle to go straight out the side of the rear quarter. then i welded on a shiny tip, but thats not essential.

everyone i know calls 4x4's prepped for offroad 'trucks' even people who know nothing about landys ( like the skinny blonde who works at my gym )
