so.. is a side exit exhaust possible on a landrover series 3. wanted to try do it to mine just for a laugh really lol. thought i could get some pre cut and welded 90 degrees exhaust pipe and just set it to come out the side of a sideskirt ? anyone done it. would love to see some pics of how other people have done it , where the ehxaust comes out, and the actual exhaust (how to connect it to the origanl front tube

Be carefull about exhaust getting back in while you drive. You don't want to get headaches on long journeys. LR were very carefull about where the exhaust comes out because series could be used open top and the rear doors and hard top don't fit very well.

You notice that even with the standard exhaust. With the back of the canvas rolled up you will occasionally get a nice whiff of diesel fumes to remind you the engine is running. But it has never been a problem over long journeys. This is however possibly because the large gaps allowing the fumes in also allows for enough ventilation to also flush them out.

X1 on this. WTF do want to do this? Fair enough if you're competitive off roading.
It's designed to exit to the rear behind the back tyre why is that a problem?

The exhaust is in three sections. To achieve any kind of customised fit you'd need to exit behind the passenger door where the middle section connects. Quite why you want to do this is totally unclear, but it sounds totally naff .
