Shuddering engine / gearbox

Hi everyone I've just bought a range rover sport , a week in and its started to shudder & make a whining noise when going up a slight gradient. The engine management light joined in as well this morning .
The power is still there but it feels like I'm going over rumble strips but intermittently. Any ideas ???,

If you got it from a garage take it back for them to fix, as if its the gearbox the fault was allready there.

+1 to the above. Variable vane turbo's can make a loud whining noise when the car is under load as I found out with an Xtrail. I don't think it would account for the shuddering though which is likely to be the torque converter and/or the auto box.

Could be a bad wiring loom to the injectors , that could cause a shudder and an engine light

Have a look underneath at the gearbox..
