If you can send me details of your route I'll check on my map see if
I've done them before. There are loads of lanes that are straightforward
and reasonably maintained. The locals have a regular green lane clearing
day in conjunction with Shropshire county council.

Put me down as a reserve if there's a space - shiny vehicle with LPG
tanks underneath.

No probs Hugh, do you have Memory map? If so I'll bung you the route on an
overlay, If you have got it let me know which verision too, I have version 4
but can always send it as an export so you can import to version 5 if
necessary.

I've been sent some more today which have route cards and appear in the text
to be a bit more testing in places.

I'm told by one of the Crag reps that the route we are doing is Freelander /
Rav friendly so I'd think your tanks will be fine. Anything dodgie and we
can do an about turn. I've a vision of a scenic day out. The route is 45
miles long and 25 miles seems to be on Green lanes. I've longer routes but
theres always another time.

Hey Lee, if you send me a copy I'll send you an overlay of a laning
trip I did some time back, two days of zipping around in the Brecon
Beacons. Most of it was fairly easy, one part had some big rock steps
that stopped the rev-happy brigade but us slow-n-easy types got up it
without dramas.

site below.

Reaching the parts other Landrover restorers can't reach - JLo makes new
home in the USA.
Percy IIa - two Engines to the mile, awaits a new chassis.
Morph - He's "living the dream".

Yep this one's valid. I'm just cloning a VM to install Memory Map
into, I don't fancy separating out my Wales trip from the rest of my
crud on my landy laptop, a P75 with 90 megs of RAM... I'll guess your
address and forward on the overlay once done.

Can I have a copy of the route Lee? How many people are going - do
you plan to split into more than one group?

Navara arrives next week so I fancy a little trundle out. I probably
won't have any toys fitted by then, but I can bung the laptop on the
passenger seat.

So far only interest is Yourself, Hugh and Tom, I think Hugh is toying with
the idea, Toms
running out side now to sort his diff / half shaft no doubt having spent far
too long inside in the warmth.
Oh and me and the family :)

It clashes with the world record attempt at the longest landrover procession
so a few who would have come are joining a traffic jam instead.

I've a plan a route which I'll send...

I'll also send a few others I have sat here.

Count me in - I only hesitated to allow time for others who may never
have been down there - and who also may have a 101.
Incidentally whose was the orange beast in Bickerton last weekend,
parked next to my Defender?

No problem, Were just debating 101 or Disco (also LPG chassis tanks).

I've a route of about 45 miles (circular) with around 25 being on lanes and
another of 77 miles (circular back to Oswestry) which looks like it has some
stunning scenary and again around half if not more lanes.

Clonked back up again.

T minus 6 Days , At present it's the "Owestry 3" (vehicles that is). Any one
else interested? Could get another one or two vehicles in the group.

Plan B is a 77 miler circular route taking in Lake Vyrnwy (bring a pic nic).
Day will afford stops for leg streching and kiddies to vent. Nothing extreme
just scenic country green lanes and a couple of river/ford crossings (easily
navigated around)

Cheers,

Lee
