Shower Cover missing plastic connector/hinge

Hi

I have lost one of the plastic hinge things on my Freelander Shower Cover (not soft top).

Has anyone any idea where I could get one from? I have been onto Landrover direct and a number of dealers all of whom tell me I have to buy a complete new one at a price ranging from £115.00 to £145.00 as the parts are not sold separately!!!!!

I only need this piece of plastic which I am sure I could make out of something else, has anyone created one from something else?

I am so annoyed, as I don't feel I can use it without this bit and summer is moving on rapidly. Has this happened to anyone else who could give me some advise on what alternatives could be used.

Don't know what you're talking about but try a breakers yard.

Ya got a picture of it? As I do not know what part you are talking about. Best thing is look on ebay for a complete second hand kit.

From memory....

There is two velcro parts attached to plastic,
The metal frame has machined cups that the bent rods fit into
Two zipped sections - green and red
And the cover itself

I can't think of the part you mention - if you can get a pic I might be able to help....
