Should this be full of oil?

hi all,
Been investigating a couple of oil leaks and decided to start with the gearbox as it leaks from the top and can be done in situ.
It is an lt77 and when I took the gear stick housing off it was full of atf (oil was leaking from the joint between the housing, the reverse gear spring gate and the stop screw on the left hand side)
I suspect the diff lock selector housing is also full as oil is seeping through the main gear selector shaft hole!!
So the question is.......is this just a re-gasket job or do I need to dig further??
Cheers all

theres an o ring on the top selector shaft ,it can be changed but its quite common for oil to leak past as o ring housing etc wear over time, changing off o ring entails pulling the top off from the gear box which requires box dropping down a little ie removing mounts and lowering the box on a jack or seat box lifting up
