short arse in a defender!

it would av to be a very stiff one.

rite i'm this close to orderin a fold down step for the mrs....

had a wee gander under me landy (defender 90), passengers side door.

wandering if anyone can tell by these photos if all seems normal 'fittings' wise for a regular side step...

just not sure wat exactly should or shoudnt be there thats all!:doh:

yeah thats the bracket you hang um on and 1 bolt should go through the chassis too

On the sill bracket? Probaly right but looks flimsey. My 110s steps are attched strait to the outriggers like rock sliders.

I'll check out mine tomorrow and let you know how mine fit on.

I'm settled now with a nice glass of wine and its too cold to go out now.

they do look a bit on the flimsey side....hmmmm and one looks bent...medusa if ya can take a gander sometime....and maybe take a piccy...:kiss:

Right heres some pics. Those brackets are definately not for the steps, the aluminium sill is bolted in place by those brackets.
It actually looks like the frame of the step slots into the U section of the sill support and is bolted straight through. It is very substantial and has an addition tie rod which bolts directly onto the chassis.
