rite i'm this close to orderin a fold down step for the mrs....

had a wee gander under me landy (defender 90), passengers side door.

wandering if anyone can tell by these photos if all seems normal 'fittings' wise for a regular side step...

just not sure wat exactly should or shoudnt be there thats all!:doh:

yeah thats the bracket you hang um on and 1 bolt should go through the chassis too

they do look a bit on the flimsey side....hmmmm and one looks bent...medusa if ya can take a gander sometime....and maybe take a piccy...:kiss:
 
Right heres some pics. Those brackets are definately not for the steps, the aluminium sill is bolted in place by those brackets.
It actually looks like the frame of the step slots into the U section of the sill support and is bolted straight through. It is very substantial and has an addition tie rod which bolts directly onto the chassis.

hi guys i am a lady short arse who loves her landrover and finds it great fun climbing in and falling out, isn't that what it's all about? the trick is not to wear skirts. forget steps just have a good grabhandle.
