shocks & springs up-grade

i have a 2002 E.S V6, and im thinking of changing the shocks & springs !
its much to soft, i had a disco 300TDIS befor this, and changed that
to heavy duty defender springs and shocks, the diffrance
was fantastic, and i think i might get the same result with my freelander.
had a word with local LR dealer, thay seem to think the diffrance would be
fantastic if i also change for much wider wheels.
i was invited to try the sport equipt freelander v6, it was much better,
but this LR option is expencive after market.
has any one done this sort of convertion ? and what are the results ?
did you come across any problems with fittings and fixtures ?
what sort of shock and spring did you fit and why did you opt for it ?
and what are the end results ?

I have been told they are good but have not tried the parts myself.

If you want HD shocks that result in about 1 - 1 1/2 inch lift use the ones from Ironman.
