Evenin' all. One of my rear shocks failed last week so I had to buy a new pair. The 110 has an obsolete Boge self-levelling unit and original springs. I plan to upgrade to normal springs so I bought shocks which are meant for a 110 without the self-leveller. My question is, will these fit ok and be good to use with the original springs until my budget allows me to upgrade the springs to? I'm concerned that the new shocks have been designed for stiffer or longer springs.
Hope that makes sense!

Put the shocks on this morning, they had no instructions so I torqued the lower nut to Haynes manual 75nm. The rubbers look too compressed here and the nut hadn't reached 75 yet. Is the method just to wind the nut in until the washer is firm against the rubber and then another couple of sensible turns?
Cheers.
