I'm old enough to remember the 1970s and a lot of things were that colour. Rather like paediatric faeces. Is he into '70s retro stuff in other ways?

in all honesty I have no idea why he has an allegro but he gets respect for not having the normal boy racer or chavs car from me :) every other car there is a lupo,ka or a,fiesta

the exeptions being a fit bird in a civic type R ,the allegro and my TD5 90 :)

I keep hearing peeps say Ally is **** for mounting an antenna on. If that's so Why the Fook do they make Aerials out of Ally???

I've always had the antenna's (Big springers.) on me fenders, mounted to the (aluminum) rear panel above the gutter line. Usually via a PSM-1 Mount. & I've never ever had a problem with getting a good SWR on any of em. Nor have I ever had a problem with **** range or interference..

For the Unenlightened. A piccy of a PSM-1 Mount.

And mounted to a fender.

Mine snapped in half too, poorly cast imho.

I just re drilled mine and bolted it to my light bar, fits right, much tighter and also mounted on some steel :-D

im making up a bracket off the spare wheel to come up the middle of the disco cos the lanes around here are horrendously overgrown, you could if your not carefull get through quite a few gutter mounts
