Sheared Off Axle Hub Bolt

I have a defender 90 and earlier today was changing the seven bolts that hold the chrome swivel to
The axle tube. Unfortunately one of the bolts sheared off. Is it possible to get access to the sheared
Bolt by removing the other 6 bolts and separating the swivel assembly from the end of the axle tube.
I just need to separate the two parts enough to get a pair of mole grips in. Has anybody else had a similar experience and removed the broken bolt this way.

Yes, remove the swivel and if there is enough of the bolt protruding use your mole grips or something similar.
If not you have to drill the bolt out.

If it was tight enough to shear it is unlikely to just turn out with a mole. Heat will be your friend here.

I used a small stilson. Came out fine

That's the thing with a Stilson, the harder you lean the more it grips.
