thats the head gaskets done got it all back together and she starts.

now she seems a little rough on idle and i have a whistling sound from top of engine !!!! have i done something wrong ???

Sounds like you may have an air leak on the inlet side. Check all hoses etc. Did you seal the faces on the Plenum chamber before reassembly ??

Either that or Hylomar. Still sounds that she's sucking air in on the inlet side somewhere.

definately sounds like sucking in too much air.. will go round again make sure i tightend everthing down properly

if you have lpg look at your vacuum pipes also did you ask about the pipe on the left hand bank with the green yellow tape ? Breather pipes ?
LPG pipes on the inlet manifold tight ?

i would check for split vac hoses, you can get inlet tract checker, its a spray can, you spray it where you think the leak is and it will cause the revs to drop off as gets into the intake system..... i normally use spray brake cleaner or carb cleaner as its half the price though

although its not as safe as its flammable it does the same job just be careful and if you set light to yourself you did it wrong and you didn't hear it from me
