id like some advise, i have a 94 300tdi disco, it is in good condition with just a small amount of bodywork wanting doing and only 1007,000 on the clock, i only use it for pulling a caravan, no off road, and have the chance of swapping it for a 1989 defender 90 it as the old 2.5D engine that as been reconditioned, rear widows, full checker plate kit, that needs fitting on, and 2 sets of wheels, showing 130,000, also no off road, it does needs a respray and it is from a good friend .
What do you think should i swap or not ?
regards :)

I wouldn't bother unless your planning on fitting the 90 with a 200tdi injun those old non turbo lumps are gutless, Have you driven the 90? There's a lot less room in the cab and they are nowhere near as comfy to drive as a disco but it's up to you in the end.

What I would do is do the swap, tart up the 90 then flog it for a good price as they are more sought after than discos then buy yourself a better disco with the money :D

Surely it depends what you want out of your vehicle?

Off road ability, easy to mod?

Comfort, quite, economy, luxury?

Are you happy with the Disco?

If it were me I wouldn't have a Disco in the first place, I think they are nice vehicles n all, but Defender is were I'm at.

Course for Horses as they say......

Also, I've had a N/A 2.5, not the best engine going in many respects. But still gets the job done.
