We have been trying to bleed the brakes on my series 2, starting nearside rear then off side rear, continuing to front near side front then off side front. we get good pressure to start with but then are loosing it. are we doing them in the right order? all wheel cylinder are new along with the master, it's driving me round the bend, any Idea's please.

order doesnt really matter, but its practice to do furthest away from master cylinder first, try clamping the flexis in turn see if pedal improves but its more than likely if you have single slave cylinders all round that either a slave or the master has an air leak, does fluid in res splas when pedals pumped if it does its a sign master cylinder seals are poor

Brand new master cylider heavy duty, still can't get any pressure on pedal. Have done every thing the offiical Landrover manual states, going by what they say it's away's been a problem. beginning to get fed up. today we have put over five liters through the system.

Is this a new thing, or are you still trying after almost a year?

If it's taken 5 litres then you're wasting your time repeating the same technique. Try back flushing or pressure bleeding. And isolating the problem by clamping the flexis as mentioned above.

a seal is passing air somewhere or shoes are travelling too far ie not adjusted fully, have you tried clamping each flexi in turn and seeing if that alters things
