Series Tailgate

Morning all

Happy Bank Holiday Weekend!

In the hope that we may have some sunshine over the summer months I want to convert my hardtop to a canvas tilt. However I need a tailgate - ideally already in marine blue to try to match the patina of my existing paintwork.

Does anyone have a spare tailgate (marine blue ) that they would be willing to sell? I’m in South Wales so ideally within 2 hours or so to collect, but sure I could get a courier perhaps further afield?

What series is your truck? they do differ if you are needing the right one for year. But 2, 2a, 3 will all fit.

I'm also looking for one! Fit the sticks and canvas roof last night. I have a Series 2 88' 1959

A Ninety, One ten one will also fit. The 2/2a tailgate has separate stiffener strakes, the series 3 and later ones have the stiffeners pressed into the inner sheet.

So they will all fit the same hole, but just have different details? Doesn't matter which we buy?

Have a look on Ebay, couple for sale and some new Series 3 Defender one's for about 250 beer tokens
