series seats - what fits?

howdy folks at the moment my lightweight has some fiesta SI seats in (the winged ones) but they are a bit to high. if you are over 6ft ish you have to duck to see out of the windscreen. i assume defender seats fit (and other series ones obviously) my problem is the fuel tank filler is under the seat so i need to have a folding/removable seat base. i had thought of the bus seats, you know the ones that fold up wen you stand up. obviously i would fasten them down with a strap or summat like.

if anyone has any ideas about it (preferably as cheap as possible cos im a poor student!)

I know a few lads use Volvo seats that fit quite easily. From what I can remember most early 1980's Saloon/estate are popular plus most scrappy's will be pleased to see the back of them , nice and cheap.

I meant to add fix the seats to a square of 1" ply that fits snugley in to the seat support frames. I trimed off the pivot lugs. Them simply lift the whole lot off or move it the middle when you need to get under it. As for bus seats I used to drive em and dont reccomend a jockey seat (where the co driver/ guide sits) they are not comfortable after a short time.

ive got a volvo 360 gle as my everyday car, so ill measure up and see how things fit up

i Have mk2 mr2 turbo seats in my 109. Base is adjustable for height too
