Hi

Im having problems with my 1983 series III. Have owned it about 3 weeks and am trying to get it ready for its MOT. The first promlem i have is that their is no presure in the clutch, have tried to bleed through but no change (in fact its worse) i only succeeded in covering my self in clutch fluid! Any advise would be greatfully accepted.

Cheers
Woody

Sounds like a leaky clinder. Put a clamp on the hose after the main cylinder, then you know wether it's the main cylinder or not.

did you get fluid coming out of the bell housing? If you do, then your slave is bad.
If you don't.. your slave could still be bad.. but sounds like you have some pressure going to it.. to be able to bleed.. Is it really shooting out of there? It comes out under a good deal of pressure. Not a dribble.. you can hear it squirt.

the slave is a simple fix.. the master is kind of a pain.. just due to all the disassembly.

I've got both new master and slave in my truck.. still takes forever to bleed it through.
